Workshops-at-Wobage Terms & Conditions

A place is reserved for you upon receipt of your completed booking form and full payment of your chosen course fee. In booking a course at Wobage, you must agree to our Refund and Cancellation Policies, as outlined below. Please read carefully.

Refunds: If you cancel your course for whatever reason, more than 8 weeks in advance of the course start date, you are entitled to a full refund, minus a £20 admin charge.

If you cancel your course for whatever reason, more than 4 weeks in advance of the course start date, you are entitled to a 50% refund. You may offer to transfer your place to a friend or family member. If this situation arises, please contact us immediately and share their contact details. Once this new student has paid for the course in full, you will be offered a Full Refund of fees. If you are unable to find anyone suitable, we will readvertise your place to seek a replacement student. If we are successful, we will refund your course fee minus a £20 admin charge.

If you cancel your course for whatever reason, less than 4 weeks in advance of the course start date, you will not receive a refund. We will readvertise your place to seek a replacement student. With such a short time line, obviously we can not guarantee that we will resell your place. But if we are successful, we will refund your course fee, minus a £20 admin charge.

If you begin a course and for whatever reason you are unable to complete the course, you will not receive a refund.

Please make sure that you have read the full details for the individual course that you are booking before completing your form and payment. If you are uncertain if this is the right workshop for you and would like to discuss the course content or your suitability, skill level or such like, please do get in touch. Our courses are exclusively for adults only. You must be 18 years or over to attend any workshop at Wobage.

Cancellations: In the unlikely event of Wobage or one of its tutors having to cancel a course, full repayment of any course fees will be forwarded to you immediately via bank transfer.

In the event of a cancellation by us, we will not be held liable for any other costs or expenses that you may already have incurred.

Discounts: If you are 30 yrs or under, and a Full-time student in Higher Education, or you are within your first year after having graduated, we invite a 20% discount on any of Jeremy’s Summer courses. To secure this voucher, please get in touch via our Contact form. You will need to provide evidence of the course that you’ve attended and organise a tutor reference, providing us with a contact e-mail or mobile number.

Payment in installments: The most efficient and quickest way to secure your place for the Summer season is to pay in full via the website. Simply add your chosen course to your Basket, Checkout and Pay. Should you wish to book a course, but cannot afford to pay the full course fee up front, please get in touch using the Contact form. We will be happy to set up a payment plan with you, including an initial deposit which we suggest at 40% of the total course fee.

Code of Conduct: Please allow sufficient time for your journey, observe the recommended time for arrivals at individual courses and try to be punctual. The course will begin promptly at the advertised start time.

Please remember to bring along any of your own favourite tools if you have them. Also a sketch/note book, plenty of hand towels and overalls/old clothes/aprons. Should you need to borrow a selection of small tools from the Wobage throwing studio, that’s absolutely fine. There is no need to clean up well until the end of the last day, but at this point please leave your wheel, any Wobage tools, pot boards and batts that you’ve used cleaned down thoroughly, as you found them on your arrival. Thank you!

Please make good use of the small wooden tool rack that sits on the side of each wheel tray, rather than allowing tools to stray into the wheel-tray itself. Tools are so easily lost into the reclaim, from where they will usually end up blocking the filter of our pugmill and potentially spoiling a batch of clay.

The course fee includes home-made vegetarian lunches on specified days. Please make sure you include any dietary requirements on your booking form.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to the Wobage Throwing studio this Summer.

Accessibility: Unfortunately the workshops and electric wheels at Wobage are not wheel-chair accessible. Please accept our sincere apologies.
